Footpaths
There is an extensive network of well marked and maintained footpaths throughout the area which give walkers the opportunity to experience open countryside with wonderful views of the surrounding hills.A printed leaflet is in preparation by Taunton Deane Borough Council with several walks of varying lengths within the parish.

Exmoor and the Brendon hills offer more challenging walking.

The Oake and District Hall acts as a focus for local recreation. The Short Mat Bowls Club meets regularly on Monday evenings, and there is also a local badminton group. A  recreation area, large enough for football adjoins the village hall and is available for  use by the whole community. See Oake and District Hall Website for more details

Oake Manor Golf Club lies to the south of the village and has an 18 hole par 70 course.
